Senior Design Architect - Houston, TX

The Senior Design Architect will develop conceptual designs for key projects; work with others through all project phases, including construction documentation, to support design intent; be an active part of providing design enthusiasm and purpose for the Houston practice; assume a proactive role in business development for various market sectors. The successful candidate must be an innovator who has a desire to push the design envelope through form, materiality, structural solutions and other necessary means. This person should be without a singular vision/design aesthetic that would set the design vocabulary for each project, instead embracing a more holistic and inclusive way of thinking about good design with a willingness to be highly collaborative.
The successful candidate should have at least 10-15 years of broad design leadership experience including experience with programmatically complex projects as well as equally complex developer-driven projects. An Architecture license is required and a Masters in Architecture degree from an accredited University program is preferred. LEED accreditation preferred (or a commitment to obtain LEED accreditation within 12 months of start date), as well as advanced knowledge of sustainability principals.
